The candidates will be trained in sampling planting material for DNA isolation, , preparation of material for DNA isolation, preparation of buffers and stock solutions, labelling, DNA isolation, DNA fingerprinting, data curation and data analysis and interpretation of data. Candidates will also be trained in using various software, laboratory set up, safety in the laboratory, record keeping. At the end of the training the candidates will be able to operate independently in a DNA fingerprint laboratory and will have the skill and the knowledge to trouble shoot if problems arise.
